Job summary

Arrive is transforming urban mobility. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Pulse Core team, delivering features end-to-end with a strong backend foundation and AI-assisted development.

You will work with a Tech Lead and Engineering Manager to design, build, and own core services, while contributing to production reliability and scalable architectures across cloud and on‑prem environments.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience in production systems.
• Deep experience with Java, Kotlin, or Go and strong backend fundamentals.
• Hands-on Node.js and modern TypeScript/JavaScript across the full stack a plus.
• Proven DevOps/SRE experience with production deployments, monitoring, and on-call readiness.
• Solid understanding of AWS and on‑prem Kubernetes; IaC tools and CI/CD pipelines valued.
• Ability to design scalable, distributed systems and reason about trade-offs.
• Strong testing mindset with unit/integration/contract tests and quality tooling.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development and willingness to learn AI-first workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and build features end-to-end with ownership from requirements to production.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code in a Node.js and Java/Kotlin/Go environment.
• Embrace AI-assisted development as part of daily workflow.
• Own services in production, including deployment, incident resolution, monitoring, and on-call participation.
• Contribute to system design and infrastructure decisions across cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Collaborate with Product, Design and peers; mentor mid-level engineers and share knowledge.
