Job summary

Redpanda is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to architect and build the Agentic Data Plane powering our platform. You will lead system architecture, develop new features, and operate Agentic Data Plane and Redpanda Cloud, helping us meet our 99.99% SLA.

This hybrid role is based in our Warsaw office. You will collaborate with Cloud, Core, and Platform teams, and with pre- and post-sales, to deliver robust, scalable systems with a focus on stability and zero-downtime upgrades.

Qualifications

• Designing and operating large-scale, reliable systems in public cloud environments.
• Leading large technical projects end-to-end, from design to production operations.
• Proficiency in Go or a similar systems language.
• Experience with AI-assisted development workflows (Claude Code).
• Production experience with Kubernetes and running workloads.
• Working knowledge of at least one cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) with IaC.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate the Agentic Data Plane and cloud services across AWS, GCP and Azure.
• Turn ambiguous requirements into clear technical designs and workstreams.
• Contribute to architecture discussions across Cloud teams.
• Mitigate technical risks to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Uphold reliability, scalability, performance and security in code.
• Participate in on-call escalation to improve operational health.
• Create tools for automated provisioning and self-healing.
• Embed resilience and observability in the systems.
