Job summary

HSBC Technology Engineering in Poland is hiring a Software Engineer to drive end-to-end delivery of software products in an agile DevSecOps setting. You will design and develop significant applications, automate CI/CD pipelines, and uphold engineering standards across teams.

You will contribute to code reviews, ensure resilience and performance, and translate technical details into business impact for senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and developing significant software applications across the full software development lifecycle.
• Strong agile delivery experience with continuous delivery and DevSecOps principles.
• Proven ability to automate CI/CD pipelines within a DevOps team.
• Engineering discipline including automated testing, code reviews and performance tuning.
• Experience delivering service resilience and sustainability, including recovery objectives.
• Subject matter expertise in at least one area such as DevOps, security, accessibility or production governance.
• Ability to communicate technical details clearly to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of a product from requirements through to production.
• Design and develop significant software applications and contribute to solution designs.
• Automate and improve CI/CD pipelines within a DevOps team.
• Set and maintain engineering standards and change strategies.
• Contribute to code reviews and promote best practices.
• Ensure service resilience, reliability and recovery objectives are met.
• Provide value during production incidents and lead retrospectives.
• Translate technical detail into clear business impact for stakeholders.
