Job summary

HSBC Service Delivery (Polska) Sp. z o.o. in Kraków is seeking an experienced Tech Lead to join the delivery team responsible for FICC Pricing Applications.

You will lead back-end Java development, own CI/CD and DevOps tooling, and work with stakeholders to map requirements to timely deliverables. The role requires deep Java experience, microservices, and familiarity with monitoring, messaging, and database technologies.

Qualifications

• Strong Java engineering experience (7+ years) with mentoring ability.
• Track record of driving platform improvements, production stability.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration in Agile environments.
• Proven experience in Vertex, Spring Boot and microservices architecture, Elasticsearch and ELK.
• Experience using monitoring tools such as Grafana, Kibana, and Prometheus.
• Exposure to message-driven architectures (JMS, IBM MQ / Artemis / Solace).
• Hands-on DevOps, CI/CD and cybersecurity tools (Teamcity/Jenkins/JIRA/Confluence/NexusIQ/CheckMarx) and databases (Oracle/MongoDB).
• Familiarity with unit, regression, and end-to-end testing; Git and Subversion familiarity.
• Understanding of Trade Life cycle and Straight Through Processing (STP).

Responsibilities

• Develop code for new requirements and fix defects per standards.
• Participate in requirements gathering and delivery planning.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into user stories.
• Identify transformation opportunities and automation.
• Coordinate with development and testing teams to validate requirements.
• Support the technical lead in project delivery.
