Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to help manage the infrastructure platform and tooling that power Akamai's products and services.

You will enhance automation, reliability, and security across Linux, Kubernetes, and cloud-native environments. You will contribute to technical decisions, improve existing solutions, and design scalable automation to support production operations.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a similar technical role.
• Strong Linux administration skills with production infrastructure experience.
• Hands-on experience with configuration management and automation tools.
• Experience operating Kubernetes clusters and troubleshooting containerized environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD systems and artifact management workflows.
• Knowledge of secrets management or PKI solutions.
• Scripting or programming skills in Python or Bash, focused on automation.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and resolve incidents to meet SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation and configuration management solutions.
• Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters, including lifecycle, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and software delivery workflows.
• Maintain secrets management, certificate lifecycle, and PKI solutions.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks with scripting and tooling.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across Linux, services, and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to improve reliability and security.
