Job summary

HCLTech is seeking an experienced SIMICS Engineer to support an Intel engineering project. The role focuses on SIMICS virtual platforms, simulation environments, validation, and automation to accelerate platform bring-up.

The ideal candidate has hands-on SIMICS development experience, can contribute with minimal onboarding, and collaborates across hardware, firmware, and software teams in a Linux environment using Python scripting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on SIMICS experience with Intel platforms.
• Strong understanding of SIMICS virtual platforms and system-level simulation.
• Experience with C/C++ is desirable.
• Understanding of computer architecture and hardware/software interaction.
• Experience in Linux environment.
• Experience with hardware/software validation or system-level testing.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Git or other version-control systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and maintain SIMICS virtual platforms and simulation environments.
• Develop and maintain SIMICS models and simulation components.
• Create and maintain Python-based automation and scripts for simulation and validation.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues within SIMICS environments.
• Support platform bring-up, validation, and system-level testing using SIMICS.
• Analyze simulation results and investigate failures to identify root causes.
• Integrate simulation environments with automated validation and testing frameworks.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, software, and validation engineering teams.
• Maintain simulation configurations, scripts, models, and technical documentation.
• Contribute to improving simulation and validation automation.
