Job summary

Codilime is seeking an experienced Platform / System Validation Engineer to ensure resilience, dependability and performance of networking platforms. You will oversee the full system bring-up, maintain stability, and execute soak testing to keep solutions production-ready.

The role requires hands-on SONiC platform bring-up, ONIE bootloader work, firmware/driver validation, and strong Python/C software skills to build automated test suites.

Qualifications

• Hands-on SONiC platform bring-up, ONIE install and configuration.
• Strong knowledge of optical modules, CMIS, and port breakout configs.
• Experience with firmware upgrades and bootloaders.
• Ability to design automated test suites for platform validation.
• Proven track record of long soak testing and system stability.

Responsibilities

• Performing SONiC platform bring-up and ONIE installation/configuration and testing
• Lead the initial bring-up and configuration of SONiC-based networking platforms and hardware
• Validate optical modules, CMIS standards, breakout cables, firmware, and underlying hardware subsystems
• Designing and maintaining automated test suites for platform validation
• Validate and executing system upgrades, recovery procedures, and owning overall system stability and soak testing
• Own the stability, reliability, and soak testing processes to guarantee long-term operational resilience
• Monitor and analyze thermal metrics and power consumption under various workloads
• Collaborating with hardware and software engineering teams to debug and resolve platform issues
