Job summary

Bitcoin.com is building a new product from the ground up in Warsaw, moving from remote to hybrid work. You will design core services, own significant features end-to-end, and shape architectural decisions for a growing crypto platform.

The role requires strong Rust production experience, API design skills, AWS expertise, and mentoring capabilities, with English fluency and BS in CS. Remote for initial months, then hybrid in Poland.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience owning systems in production.
• Strong Rust, Go, Java or Kotlin; production in Rust is a must.
• Proven experience designing REST APIs at scale; contracts and versioning.
• Deep experience with AWS or equivalent, containers, and CI/CD.
• Fluent with AI coding tools like Claude Code; good judgment on outputs.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.
• Clear written and verbal English; self-driven work style.
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core services behind the product: APIs, data models, integrations, architecture decisions.
• Own significant pieces end-to-end, including on-call ownership and incident response.
• Partner with Product and Design to shape requirements and ensure real-world load resilience.
• Set technical standards for the codebase and mentor the team to maintain them.
• Drive architecture decisions as foundations are laid and assess reversibility of choices.
• Mentor engineers and raise team practices around testing, instrumentation, and quality.
