Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks a Senior Engineer to join the Real-Time platform team, focusing on the application layer that unifies observability data across 100M instruments in 34+ countries. You will design, build, and improve software and infrastructure to enhance customer experiences with market data feeds.

Required skills include C++, Go, or Rust plus Python/Java/TypeScript, OpenTelemetry, and Kubernetes. The role emphasizes GitOps, telemetry pipelines, and collaboration across squads in a hybrid

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in data-pipeline apps.
• Experience with latency-sensitive or market data systems.
• Proficiency in at least one systems language (C++, Go, or Rust) and one scripting language.
• OpenTelemetry and telemetry export knowledge.
• Cloud-native, Kubernetes environments.
• Strong communication in English (B2+).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain application components that aggregate, correlate, and present observability data into end-to-end views.
• Implement customer-centric aggregation and hotspot detection for market data.
• Develop telemetry pipelines ingesting traces, metrics, and logs from distributed services.
• Design and build synthetic monitoring agents deployed across global sites.
• Implement GitOps/API-driven workflows for observability assets.
• Collaborate with squads to integrate instrumentation across Dev, Test, PPE and Prod.
