Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Rust Software Engineer to build a unified platform for market data with ultra-low latency. You will design a distributed cache, leverage QuestDB, and shape data models for normalized market data.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Rust in distributed systems.
• Experience building low-latency, high-throughput systems.
• Knowledge of QuestDB, KDB or InfluxDB.
• Understanding of capital markets and market data.
• System design for scalable, fault-tolerant architectures; Linux profiling.
• English at least B2+.

Responsibilities

• Design a distributed caching layer for high-throughput data.
• Use QuestDB to enable fast data access.
• Collaborate on architecture and integration decisions.
• Consolidate feed handlers and connectivity layers across platforms.
• Define data models for normalized market data.
• Optimize memory management and concurrency for ultra-low latency.
• Mentor team and participate in code reviews.
