Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Finance professional to join the Warsaw Shared Services Center supporting international markets. You will post and reconcile sales, COGS, stock, and cash transactions, and assist with month-end close and audits.

The role requires SAP and Excel proficiency, strong accounting knowledge, and fluent English and Polish. A hybrid work model and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in international SSC/GBS environments.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Good knowledge of SAP and MS Dynamics 365 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Post and reconcile sales transactions and COGS.
• Conduct stock and inventory reconciliations.
• Reconcile cash and card transactions.
• Cooperate with store managers during stock-take activities.
• Serve as main contact for stores on financial and logistics processes.
• Support internal, external, and annual audits.
• Ensure timely period-end closing per group policies.
• Prepare regular financial reports and analyses.
• Identify process improvements and participate in optimization projects.
• Assist Team Leader with daily operations and workload monitoring.
• Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to team members.
• Resolve accounting/process-related issues as first point of contact.
• Identify risks and inefficiencies in retail accounting processes.
• Contribute as SME to maintain high service standards.

Job Description

• Perform posting and reconciliation of sales transactions and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
• Conduct stock and inventory reconciliations
• Reconcile cash and credit card transactions
• Cooperate with store managers during stock-taking activities
• Serve as the main point of contact for stores regarding financial and logistics processes
• Support internal, external, and annual financial audits
• Ensure timely period-end closing activities in line with group policies and reporting calendars
• Prepare regular financial reports and analyses to support business needs
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and actively participate in optimization projects
• Support the Team Leader in coordinating daily operations and monitoring workflow
• Provide guidance, knowledge sharing, and operational support to team members
• Act as the first point of contact for resolving accounting and process-related issues
• Proactively identify risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities within retail accounting processes
• Serve as a subject matter expert and contribute to maintaining high service standards

The Successful Applicant

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience within an international company, Shared Service Center, or Global Business Services environment
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Previous experience in retail accounting would be a strong advantage
• Good knowledge of SAP
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 will be considered an asset
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reconciliation processes
• Fluent English & Polish, both written and spoken
