Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead technical due diligence for renewable energy projects in Warsaw, with a hybrid working model. You will manage Independent Engineering and Technical Advisory services for solar PV and BESS, support business development, and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across EMEA.

The role requires at least 8 years in renewables, strong knowledge of Solar PV/BESS, and fluency in English and Polish, with a focus on Poland and broader EMEA markets.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience in renewable energies including due diligence, development, construction, operations, and M&A transactions.
• Expertise in Solar PV and BESS Projects.
• Local expertise on the Polish market and renewable dynamics.
• Knowledge on different battery technologies, markets, revenue mechanisms and use cases would be required.
• Good understanding of different battery technology with experience in review of main related equipment (PCS, BMS, battery cells, etc.).
• Good understanding on typical KPIs for solar PV and storage; high-level energy modelling knowledge.
• Knowledge on Polish regulation (permitting, grid connection, electricity markets).
• Resilient and adaptable team player; able to manage multiple projects under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills with experience in stakeholder engagement.
• Proficiency in English and Polish.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute Independent Engineering and Technical Advisory services for solar PV and BESS projects.
• Produce comprehensive TDD reports with inputs from multi-disciplinary teams.
• Conduct site visits and compile reports to assess progress against specifications, budgets and schedules.
• Work with internal resources, associate project managers, project managers, and sub-consultants to ensure on-time, on-target, on-budget deliverables.
• Support the development of new procedures and processes in the team.
• Timely and efficient completion of high-quality reports.
• Serve as primary client interface, attending meetings and supporting business development.
