Job summary
Rockwell Automation seeks a skilled Remote Monitoring and Application engineer in Katowice, Poland. The role focuses on remote monitoring of automation devices and production processes, supporting customer applications with 24/7/365 coverage. You will report to the local Supervisor - Remote Support and work a hybrid schedule (home 2 days per week).
You will assist customers, monitor alerts, and help install and test applications at customer sites, while expanding your automation expertise.
Qualifications
- Willingness to shift work, afternoon, night, and weekend shifts.
- Technical education in automation, power electronics, electrical mechatronics, or related.
- Competence in programming, diagnosing, and configuring the PLC controllers.
- Knowledge of drive technology.
- Proficiency in configuring and diagnosing frequency converters (inverters).
- Knowledge of AC induction motors, and DC motors.
- Knowledge of Allen-Bradley products.
- Knowledge of industrial sensors.
- Very good command of English.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to customers and engineers, technicians, and product specialists who solve technical problems arising from customers.
- Monitor the emerging alerts on the client side and take appropriate actions to eliminate them.
- Report latest design errors and problems related to maintenance to the engineering group.
- Possible involvement in developing applications, testing, and installing them at the customer's site, and conducting training.
- Possible participation in the implementation and commissioning of the contracted installations.
- Broaden knowledge and perfect specialist skills.
