Job summary

Rockwell Automation in Katowice, Poland, seeks a System Test Engineer to validate machine safety and industrial communication products. You will design and run system-level tests on EtherNet/IP, GuardLink, IO-Link and 450L GuardShield, building lab setups and shaping testing approaches.

You will join a small, senior team, report to the Manager, System and Software Test, and work hybrid with on-site presence at least three days weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical/Automation/Mechatronics/Controls or Computer Engineering.
• Professional experience testing electronic or industrial automation products with hands-on test hardware.
• English language skills at CEFR B2 level or above.
• Ability to work on site in Katowice, Poland at least three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Own system test end to end for products: turn requirements into risk-based test plans and execute tests.
• Build and improve hardware test rigs with safety controllers, safety light curtains, IO-Link masters and EtherNet/IP networks.
• Validate that the system enters a safe state and reports correct diagnostics when faults occur.
• Root-cause cross-domain issues with development and drive to closure; grow test automation and contribute to test strategy.
