Job summary

HID Global, a global security technology leader, is seeking a Release and Deployment Engineer in Krakow, Poland. You will manage release processes, design and optimize CI/CD pipelines, and develop automation scripts. Qualifications

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in computer science or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in DevOps, deployment engineering, or release management.
• Experience in working with DevOps and Agile methodologies.
• Working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, release management, and deployment automation.
• Hands‑on experience with Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, and scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools, such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Linux administration, and modern application infrastructure.
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability solutions (ELK Stack or similar).
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, and FerretDB is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of Git‑based version control systems such as GitHub and Bitbucket.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and secure software delivery.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage release processes and deployment activities across all target environments.
• Design, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code solutions.
• Coordinate software deployments with manufacturing engineering, development, QA, and IT teams.
• Provision, configure, and maintain application environments, infrastructure, and Linux-based systems.
• Monitor application and infrastructure health, performance, logging, and alerting solutions.
• Support containerized environments, high availability, and platform reliability initiatives.
• Implement DevSecOps best practices and contribute to secure software delivery processes.
• Improve software engineering, deployment, and operational processes through automation and continuous improvement.
• Lead Go‑Live activities and ensure successful production releases.
• Travel and fieldwork, including international travel, may be required.
