Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the Real-Time platform team. You will design, build, and improve software and infrastructure for end-to-end observability of market data across 100+ million instruments in 34+ countries.

You will work on telemetry pipelines, synthetic monitoring agents, and GitOps workflows to ensure scalable, reliable data insights. The role requires hands-on experience with latency-sensitive systems, proficiency in C++, Go, or Rust, and collaboration

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building data-pipeline applications, including metrics aggregation, distributed tracing, or real-time streaming.
• Background in latency-sensitive or market data systems.
• Proficiency in at least one systems-level language (C++, Go, or Rust) and one scripting/application language (Python, Java, or TypeScript).
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry SDKs, collectors, and schema conventions for instrumentation and telemetry export.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain application components that aggregate, correlate, and present observability data into end-to-end views.
• Implement algorithms for aggregation and hotspot detection reflecting timeliness, completeness, and accuracy of market data.
• Develop telemetry pipelines to ingest, transform, and route metrics, traces, and logs.
• Design and build synthetic monitoring agents deployed across global sites to measure customer experience.
