Job summary
Hitachi Energy Poland SP. z o.o. is seeking a Senior R&D Engineer to lead the development of next-generation transformers and contribute to energy transition projects.
You will guide technical work packages from concept to testing and product launch, ensuring designs meet stringent requirements and market needs. You will collaborate with global teams, apply advanced electromagnetic design and simulations, support manufacturing, and drive innovation while mentoring engineers and shaping
Qualifications
- Several years of transformer design and product development experience in an industrial setting.
- Strong background in transformer design, insulation systems, thermal performance and testing.
- Experience leading technical activities in cross-functional and international environments.
- Experience with Medium Frequency Transformers is a plus
- Experience with transformer transient analysis, modelling and simulation is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; good English communication
Responsibilities
- Lead technical work packages within global R&D projects.
- Propose innovative concepts and perform advanced simulations for transformer design.
- Organize prototyping and testing with engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Contribute to technology roadmaps and continuous product improvement.
- Provide technical support to factories, customers and sales teams.
