• ISTQB Foundation level knowledge or certification.

• Agile team experience using Jira/Confluence.
• Strong analytical and data-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End testing of applications and mortgage domain ecosystems.
• Design and execute detailed test cases and run manual tests across user workflows.
• Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with developers for fixes and retesting.
• Review requirements for testability and acceptance criteria during refinements.
• Verify integration points and data flow; test third-party integrations.

Senior Quality Assurance Tester

Location: Warsaw, Gdańsk, Gdynia, or Łódź, Poland (Hybrid: 50% / 2-3 days per week from the office)

Rate: up to 110 PLN/h

Cooperation model: B2B Contract (Cooperation agreement signed directly with Optiveum)

Optiveum is currently recruiting a Senior Quality Assurance Tester for our client, an international organization in the banking and finance sector. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality of applications and surrounding ecosystems within the Mortgage domain.

Please note: Optiveum acts as the recruitment and contracting party for this position. We will sign the cooperation agreement directly with the chosen candidate.

What you will do:

• End-to-End (E2E) Testing: Perform E2E testing of applications and surrounding ecosystems within the Mortgage domain.




• Test Design & Execution: Analyze requirements, design comprehensive test scenarios, create detailed test cases, and execute manual functional tests across complete user workflows.




• Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects with detailed reproduction steps; collaborate closely with developers to resolve issues, and perform retesting and regression testing.




• Requirements Analysis: Review functional requirements for completeness and testability, participate in refinement sessions, and ensure acceptance criteria are clear.




• Integration Testing: Verify integration points between system components, validate data flow across applications, and test third-party integrations from a functional perspective.




• Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with business analysts, developers, and product owners; participate in Agile ceremonies; communicate test progress and provide testing estimates.




• Release Readiness: Provide test status reports and quality metrics, plan and execute regression tests for each release, and support UAT activities.

Must-have skills:

• 10+ years of experience in Software Testing with a strong background in the Mortgages domain.




• Strong manual testing skills covering Functional, System & Integration, API, and PEGA testing.




• Proven End-to-End (E2E) testing experience.




• Working experience in Pega and REST API testing.




• General testing knowledge equivalent to the ISTQB Foundation Level.




• Experience in defining, executing, and reporting tests for complex software systems using test management tools (e.g., qTest, Xray, HP ALM).




• Practical experience working in Agile teams using Jira/Confluence.




• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and a proactive "tester mindset" (high attention to detail and quality).




• Ability to work in an international, cross-country environment.




• Willingness to learn and understand new tools and processes.




• Languages: Advanced proficiency in both Polish and English.

Nice-to-have:

• ISTQB Foundation Level certification.




• Knowledge of automated API testing tools (e.g., Postman collections, REST Assured, Cypress, or similar).




• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.




• Experience testing microservices-based architectures.




• System Testing experience for modern UIs (Web/Mobile).
