Job summary

Distillery is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to own quality for a React Native mobile app and a Next.js web experience, backed by Java/Spring Boot services and a Node BFF. This hands-on role emphasizes real devices, logs, and APIs, with a strong emphasis on proactive collaboration across engineering, product, and design.

You will drive manual and automated testing, build regression suites, and leverage AI-assisted tooling to accelerate test case generation and repro investigation, while ensuring

Qualifications

• Extensive experience using browser developer tools to inspect JS errors, network calls and storage.
• Proven ability debugging React Native apps on real devices and simulators, across OS versions.
• Experience designing building automated test suites for web and mobile apps using Playwright and Maestro.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual and exploratory tests for web and mobile releases using acceptance criteria and designs.
• Use developer tools and logs to diagnose issues beyond UI visuals.
• Debug React Native apps on real devices, simulators, and multiple OS versions.
• Triage issues using Datadog to determine client- vs server-side problems and gather evidence.
• Test REST APIs for Java/Spring Boot and Node BFF, including auth and edge cases.
• Create concise bug reports with reproducible steps, environment, and logs.
• Contribute to regression suites and release checklists, gradually moving coverage toward automation.
• Collaborate with engineers, product, and design throughout development and releases.
