Job summary

PTT Consulting is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer for a fully remote, long-term engagement. You will lead a small team of 2-3 automation testers, design and implement QA frameworks, and drive automation roadmaps while ensuring high-quality standards and timely delivery.

The role requires 5+ years of testing or development experience, strong Java, REST API testing, and hands-on use of RestAssured, Cucumber, JUnit/TestNG.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software testing or development.
• Ability to technically lead and manage a small team.
• Hands-on experience with various testing frameworks and tools (RestAssured, Cucumber, JUnit, TestNG).
• Strong proficiency in Java.
• Experience in backend testing (REST API).
• Expertise in test automation and report generation using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent education/experience.
• Knowledge of relational databases (DB2, PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with software debugging tools.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes development.
• ISTQB certification.
• Solid experience with version control systems (Git).
• Ability to pass a security clearance investigation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and implement QA testing frameworks.
• Contribute to building short- and long-term QA automation roadmaps.
• QA automation roadmaps and standards.
• Promote high-quality standards and ensure timely project completion.
• Mentor and support the growth of junior engineering team members.
• Collaborate effectively with onsite and remote teams.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes and efficiency.
• Leading small team - 2-3 automation testers.
• Deliver technical assistance for a small automation team.
• Code Review.
