Job summary

MKS Instruments is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure quality and reliability of VCS solutions. You will design and execute manual and automated tests, develop automation frameworks using Python and JavaScript, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Remote collaboration with cross-functional teams in the EU is expected. You will mentor junior QA engineers, perform API testing with RESTful tools, and contribute to performance testing and test environment management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with significant involvement in both manual and automated testing using Python and JavaScript.
• Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and maintain effective automated test solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail in both manual and automated testing.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies encompassing both manual and automated testing techniques.
• Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of robust test automation frameworks using Python and JavaScript.
• Perform manual and automated testing of RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, Swagger, and automation libraries in Python and JavaScript.
• Integrate automated test scripts into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality assurance.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects with clear steps to reproduce and work with developers for timely resolution.
• Collaborate with performance engineers or contribute to basic performance testing efforts.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining test environments for manual and automated testing.
• Mentor junior QA engineers in testing best practices.
