Job summary

Cavendish Professionals is seeking a hands-on QA Automation Engineer to blend manual and automated testing, with automation as the main focus. You will implement and evolve automated tests using Cypress or Playwright for the frontend and Postman collections for API testing.

You'll work across Java and JavaScript within CI/CD pipelines, potentially contributing to a unified automation framework while collaborating with international teams and stakeholders in a fast-paced, professional environment.

Qualifications

• Comfortable working across both manual and automated testing.
• Hands-on experience with Cypress or Playwright (or similar JS-based automation frameworks).
• Experience working with Postman for API testing.
• Familiarity with Java and JavaScript.
• Proven experience building test automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong presentation skills – able to explain and justify automation framework design decisions to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Combined manual and automated testing role, with automation as the main priority.
• Frontend automation currently uses Cypress with JavaScript.
• API tests are written as Postman collections and executed via Newman in the CI/CD pipeline.
• A possible future improvement: consolidating UI and API tests into a single automation framework.
