Job summary

Wirex Limited is seeking a Backend/API QA Engineer to help ensure the reliability of our API layer and support a smooth release process. You will design test plans, execute manual and automated tests, and collaborate closely with developers and analysts to refine feature requirements.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in API testing, hands-on automation (JavaScript/Go), and experience with Jira/Confluence and GitHub.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Back-End/API testing experience.
• Solid experience in API testing tools (Postman, Swagger) and testing methodologies.
• Hands-on automated testing (JavaScript/Go).
• Proven track record in defect detection, documentation, and tracking on the Back-End.
• Experience with the Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence) and version control platforms (GitHub).
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and the SDLC.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload effectively, and identify risks to quality or timelines.
• Excellent analytical and investigative problem-solving skills, capable of working independently.
• Good English for documentation, Ukrainian/Russian for internal communication.

Your job responsibilities will be

We are interested in

• 3+ years of hands‑on Back-End/API testing experience - deep, day‑to‑day work at the service layer, not incidental API coverage alongside a UI testing role.
• Solid experience in API testing tools (Postman, Swagger) and testing methodologies.
• Hands‑on experience in automated testing (JavaScript/Go).
• Proven track recordin defect detection, documentation, and tracking on the Back-End side (but not limited toit.).
• Experience with the Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence) and version control platforms (GitHub).
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and the SDLC.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload effectively, and identifyrisks to quality or timelines.
• Excellent analytical and investigative problem‑solving skills, capable of working independently.
