Job summary

Xebia is seeking an experienced Test Automation Engineer to join their EU team in Poland. You will design, implement, and maintain automated tests for web and backend applications, build and improve test frameworks, and ensure high software quality.

Collaboration with developers and participation in CI/CD and performance testing are key parts of the role. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, strong Java and SQL skills, hands-on Playwright, and experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software test automation.
• Hands-on experience with object-oriented programming languages, preferably Java.
• Experience with Playwright.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, preferably Jenkins.
• Good knowledge of SQL.
• Ability to design, structure, and plan test scenarios and test cases.
• Experience using Postman.
• Experience in backend test automation (e.g., RestAssured, RestSharp).
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Knowledge of test automation best practices and ability to perform framework reviews.

• e xperience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work,
• interest in and familiarity with emerging AI‑driven practices (e.g. agent‑based workflows, automation patterns, AI‑augmented development), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.

Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.
