Job summary

Jit Team in Poland is seeking a Senior Python and Java Developer with Apache Spark to join a hybrid team operating from Gdynia, Gdańsk or Warszawa. You will design data pipelines, implement AML detection components, and work on a greenfield platform for financial crime prevention in capital markets.

The role demands PySpark, SQL, and CI/CD experience, plus an ability to work in cross-functional, fast-paced environments with strong ownership and delivery focus.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in Python and Java.
• Advanced experience with Apache Spark (PySpark) and SQL for large-scale data processing.
• Hands-on experience with distributed compute platforms and on-premise clusters.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Bamboo/Jenkins, and Bitbucket.
• Experience in Agile teams and working independently in fast-paced environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimise data pipelines to support AML detection in capital markets.
• Implement detection logic, rule frameworks, and scoring components for financial-crime use cases.
• Ensure high-quality engineering across code, data pipelines, and processes.
• Contribute to a greenfield architecture with ownership and delivery excellence.
