Job summary

The Codest is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong Python backend skills to help design and scale the Delivery Optimization Engine (DOE) for a major European ecommerce platform. You will work on routing algorithms, microservices, and cloud-native data pipelines in a team-focused environment.

Requirements include 4+ years in backend Python, logistics/routing knowledge, and proficiency with GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Airflow. Warsaw office monthly presence is required.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of commercial Python backend experience.
• Experience with logistics domain, network analysis, routing.
• Geospatial concepts via code (H3, PostGIS).
• Cloud familiarity (Google Cloud Platform) and infra tools (Kubernetes, Terraform, Airflow).
• Commitment to clean code, TDD, CI/CD and code reviews.
• Design and scale microservices architecture.
• Bachelor's in CS or related field.
• English level min. B2+.

Responsibilities

• Backend & Routing: Python, Microservices, Open-source & Commercial Routing Engines.
• Data & Cloud: Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataflow, Composer/Airflow), SQL.
• Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and scale high-throughput services powering first/last-mile operations.
• Contribute to DOE development and boost logistics efficiency.
