Talanto is seeking a Senior Python Developer to join a talented engineering team. You will contribute to scalable backend solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and impact our logistics-focused products and technology.

Requirements include 4+ years Python/SQL experience, GIS and routing knowledge, cloud exposure (GCP), and a microservices mindset. Polish and English proficiency are expected. Hybrid Warsaw-based with remote options.

Qualifications

• Have at least 4 years of commercial experience in backend software development using Python and SQL.
• Experience with logistics domain, network analysis, and routing (graph theory, road network modeling, VRP).
• Geospatial data concepts applied via code (e.g., H3, spatial indexing, PostGIS).
• Familiar with cloud ecosystems (GCP preferred) and modern infra tools (Kubernetes, Terraform, Airflow).
• Advocate for engineering excellence with clean code, TDD, CI/CD, and code reviews.
• Design and scale a microservices-based architecture.
• Polish (native) and English (B2+).
• Higher technical education (Computer Science or related).

For our client, a leading player in the eCommerce industry, we are seeking a Senior Python Developer to join a talented engineering team. In this role, you'll contribute to the development of scalable backend solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and have a real impact on the company's products and technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for support of Senior Software Engineer specializing in Python and routing algorithms. The specialist will be responsible for supporting the design and scaling of high-throughput services that power our first and last-mile operations. By leveraging network analysis and spatial optimization, the specialist will assist in building the next generation and directly enhancing our logistics efficiency.
Stack: We are bypassing traditional, legacy GIS software in favor of cloud-native Python architectures, Big Data solutions, and modern routing APIs.
Current Technology Stack used in Project:

Backend & Routing: Python, Microservices, Open-source & Commercial Routing Engines.

REQUIREMENTS

Have at least 4 years of commercial experience in backend software development using Python and SQL.

Possess experience or a strong understanding of the logistics domain, network analysis, and routing (e.g., graph theory, road network modeling, Vehicle Routing Problems)

Have experience with geospatial data concepts applied via code (e.g., H3/spatial indexing, clustering algorithms, PostGIS).

Be familiar with cloud ecosystems (Google Cloud Platform preferred) and modern infrastructure tools (Kubernetes, Terraform, Airflow).

Advocate for engineering excellence, including clean code, TDD, CI/CD, and a strong commitment to rigorous code reviews to maintain team architectural stability.

Know how to design and scale a microservices-based architecture.

Knowledge of Polish (native level), English (B2+ level)

Have a positive attitude, excellent teamwork skills, and a higher technical education (Computer Science or related fields).

Cooperation based on a B2B contract and rate: 140-160 PLN/hour

remote work / Hybrid work from Warsaw (1 time per month)
