Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Python Engineer to contribute to a strategic client project. You will design, develop, and optimize cloud-enabled Python solutions, APIs, data pipelines, and AI/ML workflows, collaborating across product, operations, and engineering teams.

The role follows a hybrid model with in-office days in Poland and opportunities to work remotely within the country; you will mentor juniors, implement CI/CD, and help ensure scalable, secure software delivery in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of Python development experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Commercial experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and related services.
• Cloud-native tech including Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless frameworks.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
• Knowledge of relational (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and non-relational (MongoDB/DynamoDB) databases.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Git, and unit testing.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Python software for web applications, APIs, data pipelines, AI/ML models, and automation tools.
• Design and manage cloud-based architectures on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Create scalable microservices and serverless applications using cloud-native tools.
• Optimize data pipelines and workflows using Python and cloud services like Lambda, Functions, or Cloud Functions.
• Promote reliability and scale via testing, monitoring, and best coding practices.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and engineering teams to refine features and requirements.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment efficiency in cloud environments.
• Address production issues and improve system performance in cloud setups.
• Mentor junior team members, perform code reviews, and uphold quality standards.
