Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Python Engineer to build scalable cloud-native solutions. You will create, enhance, and implement Python-based software for web apps, APIs, and data pipelines, leveraging AWS/Azure/GCP.

You will design cloud architectures, develop microservices, and ensure robust CI/CD and testing practices. The role requires 5+ years of Python experience, hands-on cloud platform knowledge, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive digital transformation across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/Engineering.
• 5+ years of Python development experience with Django/Flask/FastAPI.
• Commercial background in AWS, Azure, or GCP and hands-on cloud services.
• Cloud-native technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
• Knowledge of relational (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and non-relational (MongoDB/DynamoDB) databases.
• Strong Agile, Git, and unit testing practices.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline).

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Python software for web apps, APIs, data pipelines, AI/ML models, and automation.
• Design and manage cloud-based architectures on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Create scalable microservices and serverless apps using cloud-native tools.
• Optimize data pipelines using Python and cloud services (Lambda, Functions).
• Promote reliability and scalability with testing and monitoring.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and engineering to define requirements.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments.
• Address production issues and improve performance in cloud setups.
• Keep up with Python trends and cloud advancements; mentor juniors.
