Job summary

EPAM Systems in Poland is seeking an experienced Senior Python Engineer with cloud expertise to contribute to a strategic project for a key client. You will build, enhance, and operate scalable, secure software using Python and modern cloud platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive digital transformation and business impact.

This hybrid role requires three days on-site per week at one of our Polish offices (Krakow, Wroclaw, Gdansk, Warsaw, Poznan, Katowice, or Lodz).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of Python development with Django/Flask/FastAPI.
• Commercial cloud experience on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Cloud-native tech incl. Docker, Kubernetes, serverless.
• Design and consume RESTful APIs; integrate third-party services.
• Knowledge of relational (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Agile, Git, and unit testing.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Python-based software for web apps, APIs, data pipelines, AI/ML models, and automation.
• Design and manage cloud architectures on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Create scalable microservices and serverless apps; use cloud-native tools.
• Optimize data pipelines using Python and cloud services (Lambda, Functions).
• Promote reliability with testing, monitoring, and best coding practices.
• Work with product/ops/engineering to refine features and requirements.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment efficiency in cloud environments.
• Address production issues and improve system performance.
• Mentor junior team members and perform code reviews.
