Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior Python Developer in Wrocław to design and build scalable microservices and REST APIs. You will collaborate with Product, DevOps, and Frontend teams to deliver production-grade software.

The role requires 4+ years of Python backend experience, deep knowledge of core Python concepts, and strong PostgreSQL/ORM proficiency. You will contribute to testing, CI/CD, and code quality while mentoring teammates.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend Python development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Python core concepts (OOP, functional programming, memory management, async/concurrency, and data structures).
• API & Microservices: production-grade REST APIs and distributed microservices architectures.
• Databases: relational databases (PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks.
• Testing: unit, integration, and end-to-end tests with Pytest.
• Version Control: Git and collaborative development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Architecture & Development: design, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using Python (FastAPI, Django, or Flask).
• Code Quality & Technical Standards: write clean, readable, maintainable, and well-tested code; conduct peer code reviews and promote modern Python practices.
• Containerization & CI/CD: containerize apps with Docker and build CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Database Management: design schema models, optimize SQL queries, and use ORMs like SQLAlchemy with PostgreSQL/MySQL.
• System Integration & Scalability: integrate third-party APIs with low latency, high availability, and security.
• Mentorship & Collaboration: work with frontend engineers, product managers, and DevOps; mentor junior engineers.
