Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Python Developer to design and build scalable microservices and REST APIs, working closely with Product, DevOps, and Frontend teams.

You will design, implement, and maintain high-performance backend systems in Python, write tests with Pytest, and ensure code quality through peer reviews. Docker and GitHub Actions will drive CI/CD; you'll work with PostgreSQL and ORMs like SQLAlchemy, collaborating across disciplines.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend Python development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Python core concepts, OOP, and async/concurrency.
• Production-grade REST APIs and distributed microservices.
• PostgreSQL with ORM frameworks.
• Testing with Pytest: unit, integration, end-to-end.
• Git and collaborative workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices and RESTful APIs in Python.
• Maintain high code quality with tests and peer reviews.
• Containerize apps with Docker and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
• Design schemas and SQL queries; work with ORMs.
• Integrate third-party APIs securely with low latency.
