Job summary

Software Mind is seeking a Senior Python Software Engineer to design and build scalable backend services for a data-intensive platform. You will collaborate with experienced engineers to shape solutions, improve platform architecture, and promote best practices in development and testing.

The role offers flexible employment with remote work and opportunities to work on international projects with global clients.

Qualifications

5+ years of commercial experience with Python development.
Strong experience building backend applications and REST APIs.
Solid knowledge of SQL and experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience building data-intensive applications or working with large-scale data processing.
Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, testing and clean code principles.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Python.
Build scalable solutions for processing, integrating and transforming large datasets.
Contribute to cloud-native architecture, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
Collaborate with engineers on system design, data modelling and platform improvements.
Improve software quality through code reviews, automated testing and mentoring less experienced developers.
