Job summary

Software Mind seeks a Proxmox Engineer to join a Dutch engineering team delivering private cloud services for government and regulated markets in the Netherlands. This three-month full-time assignment aims to assess, stabilize, and transfer knowledge to the client’s engineers.

You will verify Proxmox environments, identify gaps, ensure proper sizing, and collaborate with the OpenStack team to support the platform. Remote, international projects with flexible cooperation.

Qualifications

10+ years in IT infrastructure and virtualization.
At least 2 years with Proxmox VE in production.
Experience with OpenStack and Ceph.
Scripting ability (bash, python, Ansible).
English at C1 level.

Responsibilities

Assess Proxmox VE environments against best practices and document findings.
Identify gaps, single points of failure and risks, propose remediation.
Verify sizing and capacity against load and document limits.
Implement corrections and confirm they work.
Validate backup/restore end-to-end.
