Lever, Inc. is seeking a Senior Product Design Engineer based in Poland to own core product experiences end to end, blending exceptional product design with design engineering. You will turn ideas into production‑ready components and collaborate across product design, frontend engineering, and design systems.

The role emphasizes building reusable primitives, contributing to an open‑source‑style component library, and working with AI‑assisted development tools in a remote‑first, async environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a product designer who has evolved substantially into design engineering.
• Strong frontend engineering skills in HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and React.
• Demonstrated ability to independently turn product and design concepts into polished, working implementations.
• Experience designing and engineering custom UI components and primitives.
• Deep expertise in headless primitive composition with Base UI/Radix or similar; open‑source component systems a plus.
• Strong accessibility knowledge covering WCAG, ARIA, keyboard interaction, and accessible design patterns.
• Daily experience with AI‑assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, v0, or comparable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own core product surfaces from concept through production, including booking flows and scheduling primitives.
• Translate product problems into high‑quality designs, prototypes, and production‑ready frontend components.
• Build and test working prototypes using AI‑assisted development tools.
• Deliver components that product engineers can use directly with accessible, production‑quality implementations.
• Design and maintain custom components and primitives, avoiding reliance on generic third‑party libraries.
• Maintain consistency across tokens, spacing, states, dark mode, motion, and interaction patterns.
