Job summary

Umicore Battery Materials Solutions in Poland seeks a Senior Process Engineer to lead development and optimization of manufacturing processes for battery materials. You will drive process improvements, ensure quality and safety standards, and collaborate with global SMEs on technology transfers.

The role requires a master's degree in a technical field, 8+ years in manufacturing/process engineering, and strong knowledge of process documentation and PFMEA/DFMEA practices.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a technical field with strong manufacturing experience.
• 8+ years in manufacturing or process industries.
• 5+ years in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or R&D project management.
• Strong understanding of process development and equipment.
• Knowledge of chemical engineering and powder handling.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production processes and product quality through visual inspections, process data analysis, and SPC.
• Develop reprocessing plans to minimize losses related to non-conforming products.
• Prepare reports related to testing activities, process performance, and quality monitoring.
• Drive process efficiency improvements and implement approved changes.
• Support technology transfers, line commissioning, qualification trials, and MOC activities.
• Coordinate process-related activities within engineering and capital projects.
