Job summary

Umicore Belgium is seeking a Process Engineer to monitor production, analyze data, and drive improvements in battery materials manufacturing. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and efficiency across processes.

The ideal candidate holds a technical bachelor’s degree, 2+ years of experience in process engineering, fluent English, and a strong drive for continuous improvement. Experience with SPC and quality systems is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required.
• Minimum 2 years in process engineering/manufacturing.
• Experience with SPC and data analysis is essential.
• Knowledge of quality systems (ISO/IATF/VDA) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production processes and product quality using visual inspections, data analysis, and SPC.
• Identify improvement opportunities to reduce non-conforming products and improve performance.
• Prepare rework and reprocessing plans for off-spec materials.
• Create and maintain process and product engineering documentation and reports.
