Job summary

Colonnade Insurance S.A. in Poland is seeking a senior engineer to design, develop and deliver large Colonnade-wide projects within our transformation programme.

You will be a senior member of the Scrum Team responsible for technical excellence and successful delivery of new features in Guidewire PolicyCenter, including rating management and REST API integrations. The incumbent will work in a Scrum Team with other developers, testers and business analysts, collaborating closely with Delivery

Qualifications

• At least six years hands-on Guidewire PolicyCenter delivery experience.
• Proven experience leading technical teams.
• Strong OO programming, design patterns, and clean code.
• REST API knowledge from provider/consumer perspective.
• SQL database principles.
• Fluent English and communication skills.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum and cross-functional environments.
• Ability to solve problems and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions, including configuration, rating, and REST API integrations.
• Translate requirements into high-level architecture and detailed designs.
• Provide hands-on development while guiding teammates to ensure code quality and performance.
• Support existing platform focusing on clean design and quality.
• Collaborate with business analysts, testers, product owners and delivery managers.
• Fix defects and reduce technical debt.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Drive knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to communicate workloads and commitments.
• Actively participate in Scrum events: Planning, Daily, Review, Retrospective, Refinement.
