CANDIDATE’S PROFILE
This role is a strategic hire to ensure Colonnade can successfully design, develop and deliver large Colonnade-wide projects within our transformation programme.
The hired person will act as a senior member of the Scrum Team, responsible for technical excellence and successful delivery of new features in Guidewire PolicyCenter, including rating management and REST API integrations. This involves translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions, setting development standards, developing new features, mentoring team members, controlling code quality, and coordinating technical work within the team.
The incumbent will work in Scrum Team together with other developers, testers and business analysts, cooperating closely with Delivery Manager, business stakeholders and other Scrum Teams.

DAY TO DAY TASKS - MAIN DUTIES
- Lead and own the technical delivery of Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions, including product configuration, rating, document flow, REST API integrations
- Translate business requirements into high-level system architecture and detailed technical design
- Provide hands-on development in key areas, focusing on code quality and performance effectiveness, while guiding and mentoring developers in the team
- Support of existing platform with strong focus on code quality and good solution design
- Collaborate with business analysts, testers, product owners and delivery managers
- Fix defects and reduce technical debt
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Drive knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
- Build strong relationships with workstream colleagues and all senior stakeholders to drive transparency of program workloads, financial, commitments, and expectation
- Actively participate in Scrum events: Planning, Daily, Review, Retrospective, Refinement
REQUIREMENTS
List of requirements to be successful in the future role:
- At least six years of hands-on experience in the delivery of Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions, with a strong understanding of product configuration, rating management and
- Proven experience in leading technical teams, coordinating development efforts, and mentoring developers
- Good understanding of OOP principles, design patterns and focus on clean code and quality
- Good understanding of REST API standard from provider/consumer perspective
- Solid understanding of SQL database principles
- Fluent English and communication skills
- Eager to learn new technologies and solutions
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams and cross-functional environments
- Strength with problem-solving, issue resolution, proactive, ability to work in a deadline driven work environment and attention to detail
Additionally, the ideal candidates:
- Are familiar with other Guidewire Centers, with BillingCenter knowledge highly expected and considered a strong asset
- Have experience working in consulting, delivery, or IT company, especially in the field of non-life insurance
- Have experience working in distributed, international team
