Job summary

Colonnade Insurance S.A. Oddział w Polsce seeks a skilled software developer to design, develop and maintain our core Guidewire BillingCenter billing system in a Scrum team.

You will translate business requirements into system features, collaborate with product owners and testers, and help deliver value across the transformation program. This on-site role is based in Warsaw and requires hands-on development, code quality control, and proactive problem solving.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience with Guidewire BillingCenter module.
• Good understanding of OOP principles and design patterns.
• Good understanding of REST API standard from provider/consumer perspective.
• Understanding of SQL database principles.
• Eager to learn new technologies and solutions.
• Experience in working with project/product delivery Scrum teams as a developer.
• Strength in problem-solving, issue resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of new features and maintenance of Guidewire BillingCenter module with focus on code quality.

ROLE PURPOSE

This role is a strategic hire to ensure Colonnade can successfully design, develop and deliver large Colonnade-wide projects within our transformation program.

The main role of hired person will be to develop and maintain our core insurance billing system and work closely with business team to help converting business requirements into new system features.

The incumbent will work in Scrum Team together with other developers, testers and business analysts and will be responsible for development of new features, controlling code quality and supporting business to allow delivery of necessary implementation on core platform and digital front-ends.

DAY TO DAY TASKS - MAIN DUTIES

• Implementation of new features and maintenance of existing platform with strong focus on code quality and good solution design in Guidewire BillingCenter module
• Support workstream / product owners with estimation of time required to deliver new features.
• Preparation and maintenance of technical documentation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with workstream colleagues, product owners, and all senior stakeholders to drive transparency of program workloads, financial, commitments, and expectations.

REQUIREMENTS

Required

• Three years of experience with Guidewire BillingCenter module
• Good understanding of OOP principles and design patterns
• Good understanding of REST API standard from provider/consumer perspective
• Understanding of SQL database principles
• Eager to learn new technologies and solutions
• Experience in working with project/product delivery Scrum teams as a developer.
• Strength in problem-solving, issue resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment and attention to detail.

Nice to Have

• Are familiar with other Guidewire modules.
• Have good knowledge about finance and accounting
• Have experience working in consulting, delivery, or IT company, especially in the field of non-life insurance.
• Have experience working in distributed, international Team.
