Job summary

Zebra Technologies Corporation seeks an Advanced SW/FW Platform Engineer (Level 4) to steer the technical direction of edge-based smart cameras with onboard NPUs. You will define platform bring-up, system services, and orchestration, leading by example in using agentic AI tools to automate implementation.

You will shape the Linux-based platform architecture, author robust services, and drive hardware/software co-design across teams to meet stringent performance constraints and security

Qualifications

Deep Linux kernel and systemd expertise.
High-performance, concurrent C++ design experience.
Experience with Yocto and BSP architectures.
Hardware/software co-design involving NPUs or edge AI.

Responsibilities

Define architectural vision for Linux-based smart camera platforms.
Design robust, secure platform management services in modern C++.
Lead platform bring-up and define Yocto layers and BSP architectures.
Architect infrastructure to integrate NPUs for real-time processing.
Champion agentic AI coding methodologies to scale output and quality.
