Job summary

evoke is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to lead across shared platforms powering multiple services. You will shape designs, drive architectural decisions, mentor teams, and elevate engineering standards in a strong DevOps culture.

You will implement observability, automated testing, and disaster recovery, build robust CI/CD pipelines, and manage EKS clusters and cloud-native components to support 1,400+ retail locations and core platforms.

Qualifications

• AWS expertise across networking, compute, storage, security and container services.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform/OpenTofu, Terragrunt, and Kubernetes, including multi-account EKS cluster management.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions and ArgoCD/FluxCD with security best practices.
• Observability and monitoring using Splunk, New Relic, Prometheus and Grafana; incident management and on-call experience.
• Experience in agile environments with strong communication and iterative delivery; familiarity with AI tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT).

Responsibilities

• Implement observability, security controls, automated testing, and disaster recovery plans for platform reliability.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments across teams.
• Design scalable container orchestration and data storage platforms to support growth.
• Resolve production incidents and participate in on-call rotations to ensure availability.
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices and documentation standards.
• Enhance developer experience by optimizing CI/CD tooling and processes.
• Provision and manage EKS clusters, Kubernetes addons and cloud-native components.
• Build and maintain platform infrastructure including bespoke Linux OS for locations and trading platforms.
