Job summary

Salve.Lab is seeking a Senior AWS Platform Engineer to design, build and evolve production cloud platforms at scale. You will work hands-on across AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, IaC and platform engineering, taking ownership from design through production operation.

You’ll build reusable infrastructure and developer platforms, automate cloud provisioning and delivery, improve reliability and observability, and help engineering teams deploy applications without becoming infra experts themselves.

Qualifications

• Strong professional experience in cloud, platform, DevOps or infrastructure engineering.
• Deep hands-on production experience with AWS.
• Strong experience designing and operating Kubernetes/EKS platforms.
• Strong commercial experience with Terraform.
• Experience designing or significantly evolving production cloud infrastructure.
• Understanding of AWS networking, IAM, and security.
• Hands-on experience with GitOps tools like ArgoCD or FluxCD.
• Strong CI/CD experience and automation.
• Experience with production observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch).
• Automation or scripting with Python, Bash or Go.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and evolve production infrastructure on AWS.
• Architect and operate Kubernetes/EKS platforms for production workloads.
• Build reusable infrastructure with Terraform and IaC principles.
• Develop scalable cloud foundations including networking, IAM and compute.
• Build GitOps delivery workflows with ArgoCD or FluxCD.
• Design and maintain CI/CD automation using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or similar.
• Create reusable platform components and self-serve tooling.
• Improve platform reliability, scalability, security and performance.
• Implement observability with metrics, logs, traces and alerts.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across Kubernetes and cloud infra.
• Contribute to incident response, root-cause analysis and DR readiness.
• Identify opportunities for cloud cost optimisation.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects on infra decisions.
• Use scripting to automate workflows.
