Job summary

RHAELM is seeking a senior observability engineer to design, build, and run production telemetry platforms at scale. You’ll work across the stack from Kubernetes to CI/CD and data pipelines, implementing OpenTelemetry, log aggregation, and distributed tracing.

You will own SLIs/SLOs, alerting strategies, and observability-as-code, collaborating with global teams in a fast-growing, hybrid environment. This role emphasizes security, reliability, and scalable tooling in a Mission-critical AI

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building and maintaining production observability platforms at scale using LGTM/ELK.
• Proficiency with OpenTelemetry and telemetry pipelines (collection, processing, routing).
• Experience defining SLIs/SLOs and alerting strategies.
• Observability-as-code mindset: dashboards, alerts, data sources versioned in CI.
• DevOps foundation with Kubernetes operations, IaC in production, CI/CD and GitOps.
• Solid Linux knowledge and professional Python (async, FastAPI) for tooling and integrations.
• Ownership of architectural decisions and setting observability standards.

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining core platform infrastructure: Kubernetes clusters, CI/CD pipelines, registries, and identity & secrets management.
• Driving automation and tooling: IaC, streamlined workflows, and engineering/ops tooling.
• Ensuring reliability and security: focus on supply chain security, deployment repeatability, and production stability.
• Coding for automation and integration: data migrations, batch operations, and tool integrations.
