Job summary

WP Engine in Poland is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Platform to architect and implement backend capabilities that power our global, high‑scale cloud infrastructure services.

You will own services from design through observability and production support, work on REST/gRPC APIs, distributed systems, automation and CI/CD, and collaborate across teams to raise engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and ability to build scalable, production systems.
• Experience with REST/gRPC APIs and cloud-native architectures across multi-cloud environments.
• Commitment to IaC, observability and security throughout the software lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate scalable backend services and platform capabilities.
• Develop APIs and service integrations across distributed cloud systems.
• Own services end-to-end from design to deployment, observability and support.
• Improve CI/CD, automation, testing and engineering workflows.
• Collaborate with teams and contribute to architectural discussions.
