Job summary

OANDA is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to help design and operate a high-availability global platform spanning on‑premise and cloud environments. You will implement modern orchestration and automation to enable rapid, safe deployment by product teams while upholding security and engineering standards.

The role requires 8+ years of platform engineering experience with Terraform, GCP, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Prometheus stack.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Platform Engineering or similar.
• Proficient with cloud and on-prem infrastructure, and IaC approaches.
• Experience building high-availability, scalable platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure hybrid networks, load balancers, firewalls, and interconnectivity.
• Build and operate cloud and on-prem environments using IaC.
• Automate system administration of Linux, Windows, and VMware.
• Deploy observability and monitoring to improve service levels.
• Respond to production incidents and drive remediation.
• Contribute to postmortems and drive infrastructure improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve velocity and reliability.
