Job summary

OANDA Poland sp. z o.o. is seeking a Staff Systems Administrator to join our global Corporate IT team. This role involves ensuring high availability, performance, and security of critical internal systems. Candidates must have over 10 years of experience in systems administration and expertise in Windows, macOS, and cloud platforms.

The ideal candidate will also offer strong mentoring capabilities and excellent communication skills to translate complex topics for non-technical audiences. A Bachelor's degree in CS/IT is required, while experience with GCP and security frameworks is preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in systems administration, with 5+ in a senior/lead capacity.
• Deep knowledge of Windows & macOS, networking (TCP/IP, SSL), and virtualization.
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP.

• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of critical systems.
• Lead design sessions, retrospectives, and drive automation initiatives.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to the technology roadmap.
• Mentor other systems administrators and run training sessions.
• Translate complex technical topics for non‑technical audiences.
• Provide technical oversight on infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in systems administration (5+ in a senior/lead capacity).
• Deep knowledge of Windows & macOS, networking (TCP/IP, SSL), and virtualization.
• Strong hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred) and hybrid environments.
• Solid Google Workspace administration knowledge.
• Understanding of IAM/PAM (SailPoint) concepts and practices.
• Familiarity with security frameworks (ISO27001, NIST) and disaster recovery planning.
• A passion for AI and its potential to transform IT operations.
• Excellent communication skills – you can make the complex feel simple.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent experience (Master's a plus).

Nice to Have

• Linux experience and Azure knowledge.
• Scripting & automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, Ansible).
• VDI experience (Workspot).
• Industry certifications such as MCSE, RHCE, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or Professional Workspace Administrator.
