Job summary

Fyul seeks a Senior Back-End Software Engineer for a 6-month assignment in our Payments sub-team. You will support tax calculations, VAT processing, invoicing, and audit readiness, building robust back-end systems for precise financial data across transactions.

Key work includes scalable development, product collaboration, and ownership of platform improvements, with emphasis on code quality, reviews, and continuous growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in backend development with PHP or Node.js
• Strong background in high-load architectures and distributed systems
• Solid grasp of SOLID, TDD, CI/CD and Agile
• Comfort using Claude for thinking, architecture brainstorming, and code generation
• Strong debugging, testing, and performance optimization skills

Responsibilities

• Write, ship and maintain scalable backend code
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders
• Contribute to code reviews, refactoring and testing
• Own design and execution of initiatives, fix bugs and improve platform
• Engage in knowledge sharing and continuous growth
