Job summary

Cross Border Talents is seeking an experienced Order-to-Cash professional to lead the end-to-end O2C cycle for a global medical technology company based in Porto. You will manage order intake, billing, collections, cash application and disputes, while driving process improvements.

You will lead a small team, collaborate with Sales, Logistics, Treasury and Tax, and ensure compliance with audit and tax requirements. Fluency in German and strong English are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• 5–7 years in O2C, AR or Finance Operations, with 2+ years in lead/supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of O2C processes, financial controls, and compliance frameworks.
• Hands-on ERP experience: SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or Workday.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and perform O2C operations: order management, billing, collections, cash application and dispute resolution.
• Prepare and review AR ageing reports, drive collection strategies and reduce DSO.
• Resolve escalated disputes and negotiate payment terms with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with audit, SOX, IFRS and tax requirements.
• Drive process automation, standardisation and efficiency improvements.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close, reconciliations and reporting to senior management.
• Train and mentor junior O2C specialists.
• Collaborate with Sales, Logistics, Treasury and Tax teams.
