Job summary

Amer Sports Corporation in Kraków is seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to support Nordic countries. You’ll handle statutory reporting, tax, VAT, and month-end close across multiple entities, coordinating with GBS and Group Finance in a dynamic shared services environment.

Responsibilities include preparing statutory financial statements, reports to authorities, SAP-based P&L and balance sheet reviews, and supporting audits.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, ideally in a month-end closing environment.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and P&L and Balance Sheet reviews.
• Understanding of local statutory accounting requirements and GAAP principles, preferably across the Nordic countries.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and data quality.
• Confident user of Excel; experience with SAP is required, while OneStream experience is an advantage.
• Good understanding of compliance, internal controls, and audit requirements.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and international teams.
• A proactive, well-organized mindset with a strong motivation to drive process improvements.
• A self-directed and innovative approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with local GAAP and Group standards across Nordic countries.
• Prepare, review, and submit required statistical reports to authorities.
• Prepare and submit financial and statistical reports to national banks and regulators.
• Assist with VAT, corporate tax, and Group tax reporting.
• Perform financial controlling activities, including reviewing monthly P&L and Balance Sheet in SAP and other tools.
• Identify and resolve issues related to fixed assets, prepayments, accruals, and cost allocation.
• Post journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Analyze variances between actuals and budget; comment on balance sheet movements.
• Ensure SOX compliance and perform account reconciliations in BlackLine.
• Support audits and finance process improvements with Group Finance and GBS.
• Code purchase invoices, raise POs, and perform high-level AP reviews; assist GBS as needed.
• Assist budgeting and forecasting for operating costs and provide deviation commentary.
• Participate in ad hoc finance projects.
